Stories about art, told by kids, animated by artists.
In this episode of Once Upon an Artwork, Cece paints with her feet just like the artist Kazuo Shiraga did in 1964. She finds her way to a land of fairies and pirates, and feels the joy of getting messy. This animated video series uses works of art in MoMA’s collection as a jumping off point for children to imagine, play, seek adventure, and create worlds. We record kids looking at works of art and then an animator brings their unique vision and storytelling to life.
